Post office on the move

SWINDON's main post office in Sanford Street will sell its last stamp tomorrow.

From Thursday morning the office will be relocated to its new home in the WH Smith store in Regent Street.

WH Smith regional manager Ian Rowley said: "We are delighted that Swindon's new main post office will be opening in our store this week.

"It has been a huge team effort to get everything ready for launch and we hope customers will be pleased with the new and improved post office environment in which they can access the full range of Post Office services.

"Our staff have gone through extensive training to ensure we give the best possible service.

"We look forward to welcoming both new and existing customers to the branch."

The Sanford Street office will close its doors at 5.30pm tomorrow.

The new WH Smith post office will be open between 9am and 5.30pm from Monday to Saturday.

A Post Office spokesman said: "I am sure the people of Swindon will be pleased with their new post office branch and I would urge all customers, existing and new alike, to try the facility out for themselves."
