Bowl up for fun evening of cricket
MARLBOROUGH Cricket Club officially launches its two new all-weather nets on Monday with a fun open evening specifically targeted at junior players.
The club's South African professional player Nick Moragamos, a new signing for the senior squad this season, will be on hand to pass on tips to youngsters. More than 70 boys have already signed up to join the club's newly launched Academy for juniors aged seven to 15.
But the club is keen to attract girls as well and is hoping to form a girls' team in the future.
Youngsters wishing to to join the club should go along to the ground on the edge of Savernake Forest at 6.45pm on Monday.
The opening of the nets will be at 7pm, followed by fun games, drills and activities for all.
