Kennet’s legacy...
I am sure you have many readers like Lorraine Mundy of Easterton who agree that the council's policy on litter bins is totally unacceptable. It does put a new meaning on "Keeping Kennet Special".
In Froxfield, we have one litter bin placed near the children's play area on the green. Is this not perhaps a health hazard? As to the idea of putting bags down the loo, does the council have any idea as to what it costs to unblock a drain?
Perhaps with all the surplus cash Kennet have to get rid of, could we not have a few litter bins, dustbins emptied weekly, even a brass plate on the litter bins "in memory of Kennet District Council"?
