Bring back our bin!

Jo Foxton, Sally Watson, Caroline Davey, Sarah Parkes, Karen Damon, Alan Mitchell, Beth Warren and Lorraine Haines are not happy that a bin in Market Lavington has been removed

This is just to say how cross I am that after the council tax has risen again, we have been told that one of our rubbish bins that sits on a public path (a direct route to school) has been removed. The reason being it is overused, too many people are using it for dog poo. I understand that it is not the right bin but now people have nowhere to put it and the footpath is now filling up with poo.

The parish council's answer is to take your poo home and empty it down your loo. Apparently it is too costly to empty this bin or replace it with a suitable bin or a larger one. I do not object to picking up my litter and always use bins and I can take mine home, but I would not empty it down my loo. This is a main route and to take an overused bin away is madness.
