Bid to oust club?

Perhaps Marlborough Golf Club will be happy when it occupies the whole of Marlborough Common. Watch out the Rugby Club.

I reiterate what Robin and Ann Coles say about the skylarks nesting in this particular piece of ground. I have seen them year after year, despite the close proximity of the model flying circle.

With regard to the flying site, Councillor Dobson, the club was offered this, in good faith, to carry out their hobby, by Marlborough Town Council many years ago. Is this another attempt to try and get rid of the model flying club off the common?

My late husband was a founder member and chairman of the model flying club and I would have thought it only courteous to discuss moving their site with their presiding chairman, if they have not already done so.

After all, they had to give up their clubhouse for the extension of the cemetery, which was understandable, and please note, they did pay an annual fee to the town council for the land their hut was on.
