POlice hand out leaflets to motorists in London Road, Devizes, this evening
Police have been handing out leaflets to motorists travelling along London Road, Devizes, on the seven day anniversary of the fatal stabbing of Barry Cooper.
Officers are also in Victoria Road, the scene of the stabbing, speaking to people and handing out leaflets.
Sgt Matt Armstrong has been co-ordinating the house to house enquiries for the murder inquiry and these have been carried out in Brickley Lane, Bricksteed Avenue, Meadow Drive and Longcroft Avenue.
He said: "We have completed 92 per cent of the house to house enquiries. Stopping the traffic today is another way of asking members of the public who may have been in the area at the material times and may have seen suspicious activity.
"The leaflet contains a description of a male and we are asking people if they saw him to contact us on 0845 408 7000 or anonymously through Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111."
