Devizes teen charged with abducting 14-year-old girl

A Devizes teenager has appeared before a judge charged with child abduction and sexual assault.

Danny Wallace is said to have abducted a 14-year-old girl between Monday April 7 and Thursday April 10.

The 19-year-old is also accused of three sex assaults on the youngster during the same period.

No charges were put to Wallace, formerly of The Orchard, Bath Road, Devizes, during the brief hearing at Swindon crown court and he spoke only to confirm his name.

He was released on conditional bail to Friday July 4 when he is due to enter his pleas to the charges.

We have been asked to point out he no longer lives at the hostel in Bath Road.
