Young Hannah Mason, nine, has won a place in history – as the designer of Claire Perry’s first Christmas card as an MP.

Hannah’s winning design, called Santa on Manoeuvers, is on the cover of Mrs Perry, MP for Devizes.

The runners up are Abigail Whitton, nine, James Sharpe, seven, Jade Douglas, ten, Kitty Catmur, six, and Olivia Lampard, ten. Their designs are shown on the rear of Mrs Perry’s card.

As a thank you, the winners, their families and teachers, visited the Houses of Parliament.

They also toured Downing Street where they met the Chancellor, the Rt Hon George Osborne and posed for photographs in front of a tree donated by Anthony Willman of Upavon who obtained the tree from a grower in Rushall.

Mrs Perry attended an assembly at Netheravon School to present prizes to the winners.
