Great Western Ambulance Service is not expecting to be affected by the Government’s cuts.

A spokesman said: “Given the Government’s previous announcement that the NHS would be protected from spending cuts we are not anticipating any specific changes.

“However the Department of Health White Paper is inevitably having an impact on us, although we don’t yet know the full extent, for example who will commission ambulance services in the future.”
