Olympic gold medallist Ed Clancy visited Kington St Michael Primary School, where his mum Cathy teaches, last week to launch its Daredevil Duathlon project.

Mr Clancy who was awarded the MBE this year, won gold at the Beijing games in the Team Pursuit cycling event.

PE teacher Kate Hughes said: “He came to encourage children onto their bikes and to launch our sponsored event. Children will be running and cycling around the school grounds to raise funds for the Wiltshire Air Ambulance charity.”
