Famous sci-fi characters invaded Corsham Community Centre on Saturday to raise hundreds of pounds for a disability charity.
Daleks, other Doctor Who characters and Star Wars characters entertained crowds at the community centre in aid of the Physically Handicapped Abled Bodies group in Chippenham to help fund their trips and events for 2009.
More than 200 people turned up to centre despite the weekend being busy with Badminton Trials and the Radio 1 Big Weekend.
Organiser Ady Davies, from South Croft Road, Rudloe said: “It was surprising to see so many people turn up to the community centre considering there were other big events going on in the county.
“It was a great success and we managed to raise £437.77 for PHAB and we hope to hold another one in Corsham again next year.”
The day involved a range of activities including interactive story telling sessions with local sci-fi author David Johnson and a favourite with both kids and parents was an audience with the daleks where visitors get to ask daleks a range of questions.
The winner of the sci-fi quiz they held was also able to ride inside one of the Daleks with Mr Davies and exterminate passers by.
