ROBBERS asking for the time tried to steal a man's wallet in Calne on Friday (May 19).
Around 2am on Friday morning, two men were walking in King Edward close when they were approached by two other men who asked them for the time.
When one of the victims checked his phone to tell them, one of the men threatened him before attempting to steal his wallet and making off with a small amount of change.
The two suspects are described as white, aged approximately 18 to 20-years-old wearing hooded tops.
Detective Constable Sadie McCoy, of Melksham CID, said: “Understandably this incident will cause concern within the local community and I would like to reassure residents that extensive enquiries are being carried out to find those responsible.
“CCTV and house-to-house enquiries have already been conducted but we are keen to hear from anyone who either saw or heard any suspicious activity at the time of the incident.”
