SUPPORT for a mental health service in Wiltshire has been given a £1,000 boost after Wiltshire Mind was announced as Persimmon Homes Wessex’s Community Champion for 2018.

The grant will go towards helping people living with mental health in six town across Wiltshire including Chippenham and Devizes.

Charles Brunker, fundraising executive at Wiltshire Mind said: “We have to raise all our own funds to enable us to continue our work. Attendance at the groups has a huge impact on the lives of many. Our support helps individuals to build confidence, improve wellbeing and can help prepare for the return to paid employment or undertaking voluntary work.

“We’re delighted to have been selected as one of Persimmon Homes Wessex’s Community Champions.”

Wiltshire Mind launched in 1993 and offers drop in centres for those who need support due to mental health issues. The charity also specialises in giving counselling to vulnerable people in communities.
