A HOUSING developer has donated cash to Julia's House children's hospice in Devizes to pay for Christmas decorations.
David Wilson Homes, which is building the Lay Wood development on the outskirts of the town, has donated hundreds of pounds to the charity.
Rebecca Beare, sales adviser at Lay Wood, said: “What with it being Julia’s House’s first Christmas in Devizes we thought they could do with a little help to start up their collection of festive decorations."
Julia’s House opened its hospice in Devizes in May, with actor Martin Clunes cutting the ribbon. The £2m centre provides vital respite and help to children with life limiting illnesses and their families.
Ged Montgomery, from the charity’s fundraising team, said: “It was such a thoughtful idea of David Wilson Homes to help us buy our first decorations and we’re so grateful. At Julia’s House we try to make the Christmas season a special time for all the families that use our services. These decorations will really help us to create a festive environment.”
