BIDDERS from all over the world took to the phone and internet to drive up the prices on Elvis memorabilia which came under the hammer in Devizes on Saturday.
Presley's first agency music contract sold for £37,000 to a British collector who was up against a fan from Las Vagas. While a pair of the King's pyjamas sold for £8,000.
Closer to home a sign from Devizes Signal sold for £3,000 to a bidder from Wiltshire.
Andrew Aldridge from auctioneers Henry Aldridge & Son in Devizes said: "We had a great auction on Saturday. There was significant interest in the auction from buyers all over the world especially from the US and UK both online and bidders on the phone. The prices achieved reflect the continuing interest in the King of Rock and Roll."
