A MAN who has admitted assaulting a woman in a case of domestic violence has been warned he is facing jail.
Luke Wild, 28, pleaded guilty to actual bodily harm in May when he appeared before magistrates. They sent the case to Swindon Crown Court for sentence but this week a judge was told they failed to order a pre-sentence report.
Nick Clough, defending, said that his client had a criminal record and was currently on a community order,
He said the case was in the most serious category for domestic violence offences and so a report was necessary.
Judge Michael Harington agreed and adjourned the case to July 7, saying "A prison sentence looks almost inevitable.".
He released Wild on bail to live at Greystones, All Cannings, and not to contact the victim or go to Heddington.
