Some outstanding golf was played in the North Wilts Adult & Junior Open. With 32 pairs of adults and juniors and glorious sunshine, the day proved to be a very promising start to the golfing season.

The contest proved to be a tight event with the major prize-winners making an appearance right near the end of the field.

The winners of the Open were Lee Church (North Wilts) and Ellie Hare (Whitley), with a score of 40 points.

Eddie Jenkinson and Jack Trew (North Wilts) were runners up with a score of 39 points.

John and Jack Russell (Farrington Park) won on count back for third place. Nigel and Polly McGrane won the prize for best away pair and also scored 39 points.

Winners of the age group prizes were Jordan Rawlings (under 18), Brad Smith (under 15) and Ethan Batstone (under 13). Eleanor Harvey won the girls’ prize, along with both of the nearest the pin prizes going to Shane Philips and his partner Jackson Carey.
