PEOPLE of all ages will be getting in the spirit of Red Nose day by holding fun events at schools and businesses.

At Oakford Technology at Hambleton Avenue, Devizes, staff will dress in red and pay £2 for the privilege. The firm, which provides IT support to schools, is keen to do its bit for the charity day.

Rhiannon Higgs said: "Like many others, we would like to get involved and do our bit towards helping those less fortunate than ourselves therefore, have decided to hold our own Red Nose Day event and fundraise as much as we can for the charity."

At Devizes School red will also be the colour of choice for pupils and staff who want to join in fundraising. Youngsters will still wear their usual uniform but have been asked to add a splash of colour such as a red scarf or top under their blazer and make a donation to Comic Relief.

At Lavington School fundraising will come early as pupils in Year 7 and 8 are holding a bake sale today (Thursday). They will sell their range of small iced cakes made in their food technology classes for 50p a time.
