AN elderly Marlborough resident has been left deeply shaken after their house was burgled last week.

Police are appealing for information after a property in Reeds Ground was entered, but nothing was stolen, on January 11 at around 8.15pm.

The suspect or suspects forced open a door at the house, causing damage, whilst the elderly occupant was at home.

PC Teresa Herbert said: “This was understandably a distressing incident for the elderly resident who was in bed at the time.

"We have been carrying out a thorough investigation into this incident including house to house enquiries, but I would like to appeal to members of the public who may have seen or heard somebody acting suspiciously in the area at approximately 8pm on January 11.

"If you have any information, please contact police on 101, or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111."
