ACTION for the River Kennet (ARK) celebrated its Team Stream river restoration project on the riverbank behind Waitrose on Sunday.
The drop by river event was a chance for the community to see a variety of fish and invertebrates up close and learn more about their river and the ARK Team Stream project.
"This is some of the wildlife that depends on a healthy chalk stream environment and will benefit from the Team Stream project, which was funded by Aster Communities and Thames Water Rivers & Wetlands Community Day," said ARK project officer Anna Forbes.
ARK volunteers have recently put in more than 200 hours of work improving the river corridor, making it better for nature and a more beautiful stretch of river for everyone to enjoy.
