A MAN has suffered serious head injuries after a collision with a car in Lockeridge near Marlborough.
The incident happened this morning (Saturday) at 10.44am and involved a silver Vauxhall Zafira.
The car was travelling south in the village when it was in collision with the pedestrian who was walking in the road on the east side of the carriageway.
Police say the man suffered severe head injuries and was taken to the Great Western Hospital, Swindon by ambulance but was later transferred to Southmead Hospital in Bristol.
The driver of the vehicle was not hurt and the road was closed for two hours while officers investigated the scene.
