YOUNGSTERS who showed how keeping fit can benefit health have raised £840 for the British Heart Foundation.
Devizes School hosted the Ultimate Dodgeball tournament to raise money for the charity. Head of PE and health Ali Lund said: "“We loved hosting the Ultimate Dodgeball Tournament. Over the past few weeks the students have been working really hard securing sponsorship to take part in the event and between them have raised over £840.
"Ultimate Dodgeball has proved to be a fantastic and fun way to get children active as well as help BHF to raise vital funds to support its life saving research into coronary heart disease, the UK’s single biggest killer."
A total of 47 pupils from years seven and eight took part in the sponsored competition which aimed to promote the importance of maintaining a healthy heart through regular exercise.
Dodgeball involves ducking and diving in a bid to avoid being struck by a ball.
