TRAFFIC is busy on the A419 in Swindon but moving southbound between Commonhead interchange and Swindon East this morning, the day we remember the 10th anniversary of the London bombings.

There were queues in Malmesbury after a lorry swerved off the A429 and into a hedge. Tailbacks were caused because the back of the lorry was jutting into the carriageway.

No problems are being reported on the railways through Wiltshire today. First Great Western's RMT members plan to strike for 48 hours, starting on Wednesday at 6.30pm. The company says there will be an amended service on Friday with details released tomorrow.

After a damp start for much of Wiltshire, and the chance of more rain at midday, the afternoon will clear with temperatures peaking at about 19C and the westerly breeze of up to 20mph dropping a little by the evening.
