ARTIST and teaching assistant Tanya Beaven is helping two teenage boys make their dream of taking part in a charity project in Tanzania come true.

Miss Beaven has donated a picture she painted of an elephant with a child to help raise money to fund the trip of Ben Thompson and Toby Buller who are pupils at Devizes School where she works.

Raffle tickets to win the painting have now gone on sale priced at £1 each.

The two Year 10 boys have signed up with Camps International for four weeks of personal development and charity work in the summer of 2016.

They need to raise £4,000 to take part and asked Miss Beavan for help. She has painted an original piece of contemporary art work in oil on canvas called African Elephant With Infant based on a photograph she took during her own travels in Africa.

Raffle tickets can be bought at the school's reception desk from 8.30am to 3pm from Monday to Friday until July 20. Headteacher Malcolm Irons will draw the raffle in front of the whole school on July 21.

Miss Beaven has said she will personally deliver the painting to whoever wins.
