Children aged from two to four carried lanterns from their nursery school to a village church to mark Christmas in a special way.
Around 50 tots from the Old School Nursery, Great Cheverell, took part in the Follow The Star procession carrying lanterns they had made while pupils from Holy Trinity Academy lined the route and sang Jingle Bells.
Nursery manager Rhona Welham said: “It was magical. All of our children carried lanterns and followed a wicker star to the church. As everybody left they all received a mince pie.”
The nursery invited pupils from Holy Trinity and Dauntsey’s School, West Lavington, to take part in the celebration at St Peter’s Church.
The Christmas story was told and everyone joined in carols and Christmas songs.
