UPDATE: Commuters facing delays after train got stuck in flood water
Around 90 passengers are believed to have been evacuated from a London-bound train at Pound Pill, Corsham, after it got stuck in floods.
The train was passing under a bridge when it ran into floodwater. Police, fire and ambulance crews are at the scene.
It is believed part of the train will be stuck at the scene for several days because some of the ballast holding the track in place has been washed away. First Great Western has yet to say if this will cause delays. Its website is not warning of any train cancellations or delays.
Fire crews at the scene said they found 4ft of water on the track when they arrived.
Wiltshire has had torrential rain overnight, with heavy flash flooding around Trowbridge and lightning across the county.
The rain has washed away chunks of earth in Wicker Hill, Trowbridge.
A house in Melskham was struck by lightning last night during the storm. The lightning hit the solar panels of the house in Littlejohn Avenue. It set the roof alight
It is understood the owners are on holiday in Greece.
