A donation will help charity the Bruce Trust offer more holidays for disadvantaged, disabled and elderly people.
The trust keeps four purpose-built boats at Great Bedwyn Wharf and was given two LockMaster ratchet windlasses by Hampshire-based Ringmain Technology.
They will enable guests to open the canal lock themselves, which some of the holidaymakers would not have been able to do previously.
The trust was also given two personalised carrying holsters by leather artisan David Dressler, to enable users to carry the equipment across their bodies, leaving their hands free as they move around the locks.
Rebecca Bruce of the trust said: “The LockMaster windlasses will make life easier for our fantastic crew members and guests, so we are really grateful and we are so touched that the holsters have been personalised.”
The charity needs people to help crew day trips and clean and maintain boats.
