Christian Malford primary pupils rounded off a term of studying the Second World War by putting on a play about what life was like.
Here Comes Danger, set in an underground station, blasted on to the stage with an air raid, then showed the anguish of evacuees having to part from their mothers.
Children aged seven and eight had been practising the songs since Christmas.
Jake Miles, a teacher of Years 3 and 4, said: “I am really proud of all their hard work. They designed the costumes and props and came up with the name.
“It helps them understand what people in Britain had to go through.”
They wrote letters home and made Anderson air raid shelters out of materials from Wiltshire Scrapstore.
There were two performances; one for fellow pupils and another for parents.
