People in Wiltshire are being urged to only make journeys if they are essential as freezing weather is expected to cause widespread ice through the night and tomorrow.

Freezing temperatures coupled with possible further snow flurries, mean roads and pavements could be hazardous.

Wiltshire Council is continuing to salt the primary routes and teams will carry on monitoring the situation .

Pedestrians and motorists are urged to take care if they decide to travel.
