Lunch is on The Green

1:00pm Sunday 29th April 2012 in Queen Elizabeth celebrates her diamond jubilee

Devizes Town Council is encouraging community groups and schools to take part in its lunch event on The Green to celebrate the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee.

The big lunch is on the afternoon of June 3 and the line-up will include Oi Sambistas! samba band, Devizes Good Afternoon Choir, First Stages youth musical theatre group, morris dancing and more.

Devizes chef Peter Vaughan will demonstrate vegetarian cooking and Walter Rose & Son butchers will have an ox roast.

Families are encouraged to bring picnics.

Community groups and schools can boost their own funds by providing stalls and sideshows. Call Carole Berry at the town council on (01380) 722160.

The chef is not going to be on the green he is going to be at the wyvern club oposite the green where the bar will be open a bbq will be on and lots of other things including a candle stool.
