The Astoria Cinema in Chippenham will be live screening the D-Day 70th anniversary concert from the Royal Albert Hall tomorrow night.

Tickets for the Royal Albert Hall event, presented by BBC Radio 2 Friday Night is Music Night, have nearly sold out and cost up to £89.

But it can be seen live on the big screen at Chippenham for the price of £12.50 or £10.50, with profits being donated to three major military charities. Jeremy Vine, Dermot O’Leary and Louise Minchin will re-tell the D-Day story alongside Patrick Stewart as Sir Winston Churchill.

Astoria manager Jeremy Hancock said: “Many veterans are in their late 80s and 90s, so this will allow them, their families and those who are unable to travel to London or France to embrace the event visually and mark the 70th anniversary of D-Day together.”

Tickets for the 8pm show are available from the cinema ticket office or at www.astoriachippenham.co.uk
