Motorcyclist killed in incident near Calne
A female in her 40's is dead after a motorcycle accident last night, outside Calne at around 8:30 pm.
Three family members from Oxfordshire were travelling on motorcycles between Bushton and Hilmarton in the direction of Calne.
When they reached Hilmartin they realized that the middle driver was missing and they stopped and looked for her to no avail.
Upon returning to the scene with a torch they located her in a water-filled ditch, trapped underneath her machine.
Police do not believe any other vehicles were involved in the incident but they are appealing for any one who may have seen the three motorcycles to contact PC Mark Burnett at Chippenham Police station on 0845 408 7000.
