Chinese teachers were given a traditional welcome at a school in Calne on Friday.

The delegates from Foshan City and the Nanhai region are on a European tour and were returning the visit by teachers from John Bentley School to China in October.

Toddlers from the Humpty Dumpty Nursery wore Chinese costumes and greeted the visitors with Chinese flags. Teachers presented gifts wrapped in traditional red paper and took the guests on a tour.

Headteacher Gordon Trafford said: "We are delighted to greet the Chinese delegation and explore possible cultural and educational relationships with our colleagues in Foshan and Nanhai."
