Anger as potholes reappear
RESIDENTS have launched a petition after potholes appeared in a road near their homes for the second time in two years.
They said the problem has reoccured on Bremhill View Road, Calne, because the holes were not filled in correctly two years ago.
Wendy Chappell, 66, of nearby Lansdowne Close, said: "Two years ago nobody wanted to know about the potholes. After a petition by residents they were finally filled in.
"But there has been a bungle because they have reappeared. I am worried for the safety of people using the road. It leads into a playing field and children could fall over and they could cause serious injury.
"People in mobility scooters use this road and they could get stuck and it could tip them over.
"Something needs to be done before someone seriously hurts themselves."
Wiltshire County Council highways department confirmed it had received a complaint about the potholes on February 7 and said it was investigating.

the problem with this piece of land (in front of the North Star Club) is that Westlea, Wilts County Council and the District council all refuse to accept ownership of it. I suggest that the residents put a fence around it and claim it as their own. They can then charge for access and raise enough money to repair it!!!!!!!!!
The town council has no claim to any roads or footpaths.
