Blogs Explained
What is a blog?

A blog is a unique form of storytelling that’s native to the Internet. Blogs combine personal observations in short bites. Each Blogger brings a different perspective to the issues and topics of the day. It is a chronological, up-to-date e-journal entry of their thoughts and sometimes opinions.

What types of blogs work best?

Those that are short (2-4 paragraphs), timely and include links to outside sources seem to have more staying power and attract the most comments. Blogs on specific subjects, for example sport teams, local parenting, gardening and other “moments of life” topics. Blogs with “two sides” such as Sports or Politics, blogs about entertainment and those written by an individual rather than a group.

How often should a blogger post?

Daily is best; five out of seven days at minimum.
