Devizes Rugby Club lights boost

Devizes Rugby Club has been granted permission to install floodlights.
The eight lights will replace two sets of mobile units and enable the various sides to train in the dark winter evenings.
The club has gone from strength to strength and now has three men’s sides and a ladies’ side, plus more than 300 players in the youth section.
The sides train on the club’s second team pitch in London Road.
No objections were received to the planning application and Wiltshire Council planning officers granted permission, with the condition that the floodlights are not used between 10pm and 7am.
