Marlborough charity dance for volunteer lifesavers
6:00pm Saturday 29th September 2012 in News
A Charity dance at Marlborough Town Hall next month will raise funds for the local lifesaving work of St John Ambulance.
The dance on October 20, featuring the band Celebra-tion, is being organised by volunteers from the charity’s Pewsey Division and Marlbor-ough Community First Resp-onders, volunteers who provide emergency medical aid in the Marlborough area ahead of the arrival of an ambulance.
Money raised will help equip the local community with basic first aid skills, and support the Community First Responders and local St John Ambulance volunteers.
The event will also provide a chance to find out more about learning first aid and volunteering.
The event starts at 8.30pm. Tickets are £10 for adults and £8 for concessions, from the White Horse Bookshop and Carrie’s Hairdressers in Marlborough High Street, or www.marlboroughboxoffice.co.uk
