Charity helper’s dinner dance at police headquarters
4:00pm Saturday 15th September 2012 in News
Devizes resident Catherine Drage has organised another event to raise money for breast cancer research.
Mrs Drage, of Edward Road, is holding a dinner dance at police headquarters in Devizes on September 29.
Only a few of the 150 tickets remain at £17.50 each.
Mrs Drage has raised more than £10,000 for cancer charities since her sister-in-law, Wendy Drage, of Weymouth, died in 2003, aged 33, of breast cancer. This is her fourth dance event and for the third time the band Secondhand will play. There will also be a raffle.
Mrs Drage thanked everyone who has helped.
She said: “I have managed to get the majority of food cooked and donated. All the extra food required was cooked and donated by the people who were also paying for a ticket. “It will be very special to me as several of my friends are making a big effort and coming to it from as far afield as Plymouth, Eastbourne, Hastings and more.”
