Pupils from Years 1-6 at Rowde School are celebrating their geography success
Rowde Primary School has received an award for its standard of geography teaching.
The school applied for the geography quality mark moderated and awarded by the National Geographical Association.
The association awarded Rowde a bronze award which recognises quality and progress in geography leadership, curriculum development, learning and teaching.
Teacher Christine Fox, who is the school’s geography co-ordinator, said: “The award is amazing and reflects the hard work the teachers and children had put into learning this year.
“Over the last year we have done lots of field trips, creative learning and made use of relevant technology.”
