Marshfield man victim of Colerne steamroller incident

A 56-year-old man who died after being crushed by an industrial roller last week near a farm in Bath Road, Colerne, has been named as Andrew John Poole of Marshfield.


An inquest into the incident, on Monday at 8.23am, was opened and adjourned at Salisbury Coroners Court today to establish his identity.


The date for the conclusion of the inquest has yet to be confirmed.


The Health and Safety Executive have been informed and police are currently investigating the circumstances of his death.

It is believed the man fell out of the front of the vehicle and was run over by it.
