Local Freemasons have presented Wiltshire Air Ambulance with grants totalling £4,000 from their national charity, The Freemasons’ Grand Charity. The donation is part of the total figure of over £1million donated by the charity since 2007 for every air ambulance in England and Wales. Air ambulances save the lives of thousands of people every year by getting medics to patients in emergencies as quickly as possible.

The Wiltshire Air Ambulance relies on donations from the public and has to raise £700,000 a year.

Philip Bullock, assistant provincial grand master of Wiltshire, said: “We are proud to be able to give this level of support for such important services. Wiltshire Air Ambulance plays a vital role in our community and they are in need of support. Helping local projects and services is important to Freemasons, which these donations demonstrate.”
