Devizes Guides receive donations from Wilkinson’s to buy new equipment for camping
A Devizes Guiding group will be able to improve its camping gear thanks to a £500 donation from Wilkinson’s in Devizes.
Assistant store manager Caroline Russell presented the Devizes 2nd Girl Guides with the donation voucher at the group’s weekly meeting at Guide HQ on Coate Road.
She said: “After almost four months of trading in Devizes we really do feel like a big part of the community and we are keen to continue to support local organisations.
“The Devizes 2nd Girl Guide group allows many young residents to regularly meet with friends and learn new skills, so to be able to provide them with the means to purchase equipment for their upcoming adventures is fantastic.”
Guide leader Paula Postlethwaite said: “The donation from the Wilkinson store in Devizes will allow us to restock our camping equipment and replace old items.”
The voucher will be used to buy brand new equipment including a new gazebo and barbecue tools.
