Free fishing sessions at Cotswold Water Park
4:30pm Monday 9th July 2012 in News
Anyone can have a go at angling in the Cotswold Water Park for free on Saturday, July 21, and August 4.
During the school holidays, South Cerney Angling Club is providing the opportunity for anyone to have a go at angling there.
Aimed at new anglers and complete beginners of all ages, sessions provided by the club will show you the basics to get you started.
All equipment is provided, along with one to one tuition from friendly fully qualified angling coaches who are keen to share their knowledge and love of angling with beginners and new anglers.
They will explain techniques, how to get started, and tell you about the golden rules for responsible anglers.
As well as the fishing, there is a chance to explore and find out more about the wildlife living in the lakes, as staff from the Cotswold Water Park Trust will be on hand to do some lake dipping with all participants – again all equipment and ID charts provided.
The angling sessions will last about 30 minutes each, from 10am, and it is important to pre book places.
They are being provided, free of charge, thanks to funding through the Environment Agency and the Angling Development Board.
To book a place on either day call 07989 973217. For any more information call the same number or the Cotswold Water Park Trust offices on (01793)752413.
