Man faces jail for twice raiding same house in Chippenham

A man who burgled the same house twice in a month has been warned to expect a prison sentence.

Raymond Dagostino first stole cash when he broke into the property on Field View in Chippenham between the end of March and Saturday April 28.

The 27-year-old then burgled the house a second time on Friday April 27 with intent to steal.

Dagostino, who gave the court an address in Chichester, West Sussex, pleaded guilty to two counts of burglary.

Judge Euan Ambrose adjourned the case to Friday August 3 to allow the probation service time to compile a pre-sentence report.

He released the defendant on bail to live at the Sussex address, stay out of Wiltshire and observe a night time curfew.

The judge said “You should not read anything into the report and grant of bail: this is an offence that is almost certain to attract a prison sentence and you should prepare yourself for that on the next occasion.”
