No drugs at the Calne academy

Police in Calne teamed up with Springfields Academy to run a pro-active drug operation at the school.

Officers attended the school with Wiltshire Police’s passive drugs dog team last week.

The school had requested the operation to make sure no drugs were on site, while also showing the pupils the site was a safe and drug-free environment.

Pupils were scanned by the drugs dog as they made their way into school buildings and no substances were found.

PCSO Mark Cook, from Calne Police, said: “This is a great example of Springfields Academy and the local Policing team working together.”
