Marlborough drivers taken aback by flying Fiat

Drivers passing through Marlborough’s London Road yesterday at about 6pm were amazed to see what appeared to be a flying Fiat 500.

As wonderful as these economy cars might be, vertical takeoff is not one of their attributes and this was a sales stunt by TH White Ltd which has added Fiat to the list of cars it sells.

Divisional director Nick Dow said TH White has taken over a Swindon Fiat dealership and what better way to advertise this new line but by hoisting a Fiat 500 high above one of the company’s trucks.

TH White has a number of divisions as well as its agricultural machinery and repairs dealership and its Country Store in Marlborough where the flying Fiat forced passing motorists to do a double take.

The company’s motto is “In more fields than you imagine” .....clearly, now, in the sky as well.
