Socialites Christine and Neil Hamilton are the face of a new Breast Cancer Campaign fundraising race, ‘Girls vs Boys’.

The Hullavington-based television personalities are calling on girls and boys of all ages to get ready, get set and take part in a 5k race in London, on May 20.

The aim of the campaign is to raise money for research to support the 48,000 women, and 340 men, who are diagnosed with the disease every year.

Runners will compete against partners of the opposite sex, aiming to outdo each other with their race times and fundraising.

Christine, who has been an I’m a Celebrity contestant, said: “I have done a lot of different things with the campaign over the years.

“They came up with this really good idea to get the boys involved as well, because breast cancer does affect men. They won’t win their races, of course; the girls will beat them hands down.”

The Hamiltons got into the spirit by racing around their Wiltshire home.

Neil said: “I know we boys will be victorious – we’d better be or we'll never live it down”

Registering for Girls vs Boys costs £10. For more information, or register to take part, visit www.breastcancercampaign.org/girlsvsboys or call 020 7749 4114.
