Blooms boost Devizes support group

10:00am Sunday 26th February 2012

A cheque for £750 was handed to Devizes Alzheimer’s Support Group by members of Devizes Floral Art Club.

The money was part of that raised at the open Christmas Extravaganza meeting in November.

It means the group can now meet for three days a week instead of two. At the meetings the group takes part in fun and creative activities which is enjoyed by all.

The floral art club aims to continue to support the group through the year at some of the group’s meetings such as making Easter bonnets, gifts and flower arrangements. Meanwhile the club’s charity for this year will be the children’s hospice Naomi House.

DFAC meets on the third Wednesday of the month in Devizes Town Hall at 7.30pm and is starting its year with a variety of flower demonstrations, workshops, events and outings. New members are welcome.
