Snow slows traffic across county

Most motorists are heeding police advice to slow down and take extra care after light snow falls across the county.

Despite that ten road traffic incidents have been reported, most of them involving cars sliding on slippery and icy surfaces.

No serious injuries have been reported.

Wiltshire Police issued a warning: "Due to weather conditions, please be advised that all roads in Wiltshire may potentially be icy or hazardous

"Both the Highways Agency and councils for Wiltshire and Swindon are aware, road gritters have been mobilised.

"Please exercise care when on the roads and where possible avoid all but essential travel."

Police have also received a number of reports of children throwing snowballs.

A spokesman for Wiltshire Council said that road gritting crews had been working through the night and all roads in the county are passable.

People are phoning the police about kids throwing snowballs?
Good grief.
We don't get snow often in these parts. Let the kids enjoy it ffs.

My neighbours son - vile little snot - had a snowball fight in his garden - with a friend he'd invited round.

He lost the fight.

His mum reported the winner to the police - accused the winner of threats and bullying.

She isn't talking to me anymore. I couldn't stop laughing.
