AN abbey will once again be transformed into a skate park for three days.
Bookings are being taken for the fourth annual Malmesbury Abbey Skate, which runs from Wednesday to Friday, February 15 to 17.
The skate park will be open for skateboarders, rollerskaters and scooter riders and there will be music, art and dance workshops.
The Rev Lee Barnes, the curate of Malmesbury Abbey, said: “We feel we have responded to the success of previous years by both building upon it and introducing a deeper community feel.”
This year, the mornings will be for families, with time on the park divided between under eights and eight to 12-year-old scooter riders and skateboarders, along with a host of activities for younger ones away from the ramps.
The afternoon and evenings are for older children, with a grand competition on the Friday night. On the Thursday and Friday there will be dance workshops run by Emily McGrory, with showcases each night.
